2. Should I use Chinese or English operating
system?
Our real-time quotes supports both Chinese and English operating systems. If
you like to view real-time quotes in Chinese, the best choice is to use Chinese
(Traditional) Windows. But if you are currently using English Windows, we
recommend you to use Netscape Communicator as your browser and download the
font
Bitstream Cyberbit.
Note: For users using English Internet Explorer, the Chinese (Traditional)
Language Support and Language Auto Selection from Microsoft can only facilitate
the viewing of Chinese characters in web pages but not in the real-time quotes
application.

3. Does "QuotePower Real Time Quotes" support
Windows 95 or Windows 98?
QuotePower Real-time Quotes supports both Windows 95 and 98 operating systems,
except Windows 95 4.00.950a and Windows 98 Release 1 (English Version).
4. When I am accessing the trading platform, why
does it display several boxes of "Security Warning" messages?
It is because DHS online uses a secured network connection and stores a
certificate issued by a certificate authority. Certificates contain information
used to validate the site identity and protect the data you exchange. You have
to respond by clicking "Confirm" or "Continue" to this kind of
security warning in order to enter the secured area of our Web site. If you do
not want to see this dialogue box the next time you enter our Web site, you can
check the box named "Do not show this warning in future".
If it is your first time to use the real time quote service, you have to
download and run the application from QuotePower International Limited. You can
choose "Yes" or "Grant" from the dialog box in order to download real time
data. Moreover, you can check the box of "Always trust content from
QuotePower International Limited" (Internet Explorer) or "Remember this
decision" (Netscape) to avoid seeing this message again.
5. How can I view QuotePower's Real-time Quotes
Junior Version?
If you have applied for the real-time information service, the QuotePower
Junior Version is loaded automatically once you log on to our trading platform.
The following Java applet will be displayed on the top right-hand side of the
page.

6. How can I view the QuotePower Web Full Version?
To access the Full Version, you need to click the "Real-time Quotes Full
Ver." button on the navigation bar. After the button is clicked, the
application will be loaded to your browser. If it is the first time you use
this service, you will experience a download time of around three to five
minutes depending on your modem speed. If you use Internet Explorer, you
will then see a security box below to prompt you for permissions.

Tick the box "Always trust content from QuotePower International Limited"
to avoid the above box from popping the next time and press "Yes" to
proceed.
If you use Netscape Communicator, you will see the following security
box asking you to grant the required privileges.

Tick the "Remember this decision" to avoid the above box from popping
up the next time and press "Grant" to proceed to use the service.
When the loading is completed, you will see the QuotePower Web application pop
up in a separate window:

7. Why doesn't "QuotePower Real-time Quotes" show
up even though the browser indicates "Document: Done" at the bottom of the
page?
This may be due to the following reasons:

Your connection may be blocked by a Proxy Server/Firewall

You need to use Netscape 4.06 or above or Internet Explorer version 4.0 or
above. If you need a newer browser version, please click

Setting of Security Level is "High" (I.E. users only)
To adjust the setting:

From the toolbar at the top of the browser,select "View".

Choose "Internet Options". (For I.E. 5.0 or above, "Internet Options"
will be found under "Tools".)

Click on the page "Security". Adjust Security Level from "High"
to "Medium/Low".

Disk Cache is full
Please follow the instruction here
to clear disk cache.

Use of Anti-Virus programme PC-CILLIN.
-The PC-Cillin anti-virus programme scans all data your PC receives, which may
slow down or even block real-time data transfer.
-To obtain real-time data, just right-click the system tray of PC-Cillin icon,
then choose "Exit real time scan" or "Exit" and restart your
browser.
-If the version of PC-Cillin is 6.0, you must disable the "real-time scan".
Just right-click the system tray of the PC-Cillin icon, un-tick the "real-time
scan" and restart your browser.
-Please be reminded to repeat the above procedures each time you log in to
start QuotePower-Web unless PC-Cillin is removed from your system tray.
-If you would like to use another anti-virus software instead of PC-Cillin,
here are the download sites for two of them:
Norton AntiVirus 2001 (Windows

The reason may be the poor/busy traffic of the ISP through which the user is
connecting. Disconnect the line, reconnect again to get better traffic and try
again; if it still is not working, please try another ISP. If the situation
does not improve, please contact the Helpdesk.
8. After clicking on "Real-time Quotes Full
Version", I am stuck with this message on the screen: "Please wait while
loading Real-time Quotes Full Version...". Nothing comes up for a long time.
Why?
If this is the first time you use this real-time quotes service, you will
experience a three-to-five minute download time to loading the real-time quote
application to your browser. Once the download is done, the application will be
cached in your computer and it will not take that long to download when you
access this service again.
If you still do not see the application, it may be due to the other reasons
cited in the previous question.
9 Why isn't there any real-time information after
I log in to the Real-time Quotes Junior/ Full Version?
The time needed for the real time information to be loaded depends on your
Internet connection speed. It may take a while if the Internet connection is
not fast enough.
If the situation persists after waiting for a few minutes, the computer may be
hanged due to poor traffic of ISP or not enough RAM in your PC. Try to
clear the cache of your browser, reboot your PC and connect again. For

If the situation does not improve after the above procedures, please contact
our Helpdesk.
10. I can't type in the stock number in the
Teletext page. Why?
Please check whether your "NUM LOCK" light is on at the top right hand
corner of your keyboard. If it is not on, please turn it on by pressing the
numbers lock button at the right hand side of your keyboard.
Other reasons for not being able to enter a stock code could be:
Your login session is terminated
If another user has used your ID to log into the real-time quote service at the
same time, you will see the quotebox all cleared with dashes as follows:
When this situation occurs, it indicates that your current session is
terminated and you need to press REFRESH or RELOAD to log in
again.
For users of Internet Explorer

Click the "Internet Options" from the "View" or "Tools" menu.

Select the page "Advanced".
-
Scroll down to the section "Java VM".
-
Uncheck "Enable JIT compiler".
-
Click "OK" and restart your browser.
Note : If this still does not help, please use Netscape Communicator instead.
For users of PenPower (Chinese Character Input Software)

Go to Properties
of Chinese Character Input Method icon at the bottom right-hand corner of the
computer

Choose English (American)
as default
-
Make sure "English"
is displayed in the bottom right-hand corner of the System Tray.
For users of Richwin
Please make sure that the Chinese Character Input Method is set to "English"
instead of other Chinese Character Input Methods.
11. Can I use a Macintosh computer to access your
real-time quotes service?
Yes, we support Mac but with limited features.
You need to use Mac 8.5 OS with Mac Java Machine and Mac Internet Explorer 4.0
or above. However, the Company Profile and Symbol Directory
functions are not supported. Our real-time quote service is not compatible with
Netscape Communicator on Macintosh computer at this moment.
12. When I launch QPI / AAStocks real-time quotes
application, it does not start and a gray window shows "waiting for connection"
message.
If your QPI / AAStocks real-time quotes application is a standalone version and you connect to internet via
a proxy server or firewall (most corporate networks have one), please contact
your helpdesk to open the TCP port number 8044 and 443.
13. After I upgrade to Windows XP,
I cannot connect to my QPI / AAStocks real-time quotes application.
Windows XP with Service Pack 1 or 2 does not include Microsoft Java Virtual
Machine. You need to install it manually after Windows installation.
Please download the
JVM and install. Restart your machine after installation and then try
again.
14. After I install Service Pack 2 on Windows XP,
I cannot start QPI / AAStocks real-time quotes application.
Windows XP Service Pack 2 has a built-in mechanism to block pop-up windows.
Please open QPI / AAstocks real-time quotes application again, when an information bar appears in IE,
click on the bar and select the option "always allow pop-up from this site".
When the security box appears, press "more option" and select "always run AAStocks.com limited" /
"always run Quote Power International Limited", finally press "run".
