1. Can I use the HSBC PayBills service?

All customers who have a HKD bank account with HSBC can use this service. In addition, you have to set daily payments limit of your account before using this service. For details, please contact HSBC customer service hotline.

2. Can I transfer funds to my DHS Account via Online@HSBC?

To transfer funds to your DHS Account via Online@HSBC, you must be a registered Online@HSBC user.

3. How can I transfer funds via Online@HSBC to my DHS Account?

You can simply follow the steps below:

  1. Visit HSBC website at www.hsbc.com.hk
  2. Login to Internet Banking
  3. Select "Views & Pay Bills" under "Banking" category on the top menu
  4. Click on "Add New Merchant"
  5. Select "Securities Broker" under Category
  6. Select "DAO HENG SECURITIES LTD" under Merchant
  7. Select your Bill Type (01=Custodian; 02= Margin; 03=Commodities; 04=Cash)
  8. Input your 7-digit DHS Account Number
  9. Select your HSBC account for payment
  10. Enter the payment amount, select the pay day and click "Go"
  11. Verify details of your payment and click "Confirm" to confirm your payment
  12. "Save" or "Print" the Acknowledgement for record

4. Can I transfer funds to my DHS Account via HSBC Phone Banking service?

To transfer funds via HSBC Phone Banking service, you should first register for the phone banking service via a HSBC or Hang Seng Bank ATM terminal in Hong Kong.

5. How can I transfer funds via HSBC Phone Banking service to my DHS Account?

You can simply follow the steps below:

  1. Dial the following hotline no. to access the phone banking transfer service:
    • For HSBC Premier Account, call 2233 3322
    • For HSBC PowerVantage Account, call 2748 8333
    • For other HSBC Accounts, call 2233 3000
  2. Select language (1=Cantonese, 2=English, 3=Mandarin)
  3. Press "2" to select Transfer, Payment & Bank Account Services under the Main menu
  4. Key in your registered HSBC account number and PIN
  5. Press "2" for Transfers & Bill Payments
  6. Press "2" again for Bill Payments
  7. Press "2" to pay registered bills or "3" to pay unregistered bills
  8. Press "2"for the list of registered merchant names for your selection
  9. Select your Bill Type
  10. Input your 7-digit DHS Account Number
  11. Input the payment amount and select the account for payment
  12. Review details of the transaction and press "1" to confirm
  13. Note down the confirmation code for record

6. How can I transfer funds via HSBC Automated Teller Machine (ATM) to my DHS Account?

You can simply follow the steps below:

  1. You have to visit a HSBC or Hang Seng Bank ATM with your own HSBC ATM card
  2. Insert your HSBC ATM card and key in the valid ATM PIN. Select the "Bill Payment" option from the main menu
  3. Under the "Bill Payment" main menu, select the "Brokers" for the Merchant type
  4. A list of broker names will be shown on the next screen. Select "DAO HENG SECURITIES LTD".
  5. Select your Bill Type
  6. Input your 7-digit DHS Account No
  7. Select your HSBC account for payment
  8. Input your payment amount
  9. Once the transaction is completed, collect the print receipt for record

7. What is the maximum amount I can pay via HSBC PayBills service?

You can make a minimum payment of HK$100 per each transaction and a maximum payment of HK$500,000 to Securities Brokers per day.

8. What is the cut-off time for HSBC PayBills service?

Payment made on or before the Cutoff Time for the day, i.e.,
Monday to Friday before 5:00pm
Payment will be updated to your DHS account on the next trading day (i.e., T+1 day)
Payment made after the Cutoff Time for the day, i.e.,
Monday to Friday after 5:00pm,
Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday
Payment will be updated to your DHS account on the day after next trading day (i.e., T+2)
